The «Great Baikal Trail» took part in Baikal International Ecological Water Forum that was held on 14-15 September in Irkutsk.


The representatives of Great Baikal Trail took part in Foresight session of the Baikal region that took place in the tourist complex ‘Bayar’ at the Maloe Sea from 7 to 10 September.


Last week was marked by a joint project of GBT with FSBI «Roslesinforg» «Pribaikallesproekt». The team of 20 people went to the rocks of Olhinskoye Plateau and managed to get through a big chunk of work.


The first autumn project in the GBT history has recently finished. It was unusual project not only because of the season. Usually the GBT volunteers build trails but this time volunteers took part in clearing a water-spring in Idiba Valley on Olkhon Island.


On September 4-6, The 8th International Baikal Forum ‘Nature Reserves as a Guarantee for the Future’ took place in Ulan-Ude, the Republic of Buryatia.


In August on the territory of Pribaikalski National Park the GBT led the project “The Trail to Sandy Bay”. The project united volunteers from Irkutsk, Omsk, Moscow and Saint Petersburg, China and Germany.


On August 22, Government of the Irkutskaya oblast met with representatives of social organizations that won the President Grant Contest. A total of 23 organizations won out of 100 applications from the Irkutskaya oblast, including the interregional social organization, the "Great Baikal Trail".


Great Baikal Trail’s northernmost project, nearby the Severobaikalsk at our trail between the Slyudyanskie Lakes and Ludar Bay, has just finished!


The 4th GBT project "In the Wilds of the Khabar Daban" was completed on August, 8; in which 10 volunteers from different cities of Russia (Arkhangelsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur), as well as from the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, the USA and Norway took part.


On August 4, a visit of V.V. Putin, President of the Russian Federation, to Baikal took place, when he visited the Baikal Natural Reserve.
